my son has a communication log, its on a custom worklog for his day. having a worklog worksheet paper makes it easier for his teachers to write quickly about whats happening in class. we started with email, then tried texting but the written log was much easier for the teachers. it tells, but his teacher with text or email me if anything "big" comes up in his day. He has a good team! (that wasn't always the case, sometimes you just have to keep fighting for your right to know whats going on in his day)

If something is happening at school and his teachers aren't forthcoming, you need to check it out. Ad if things aren't going well, homeschooling might be an option.

I’m sorry this is happening to you, I would think it would be a must. I guess tell them that’s what you want from now on then.

You can ask his teacher to communicate to you his daily activities via email etc which ever works for you in my Son School they have this Dojo app every parent is on , that has been a form of communication and i do ask his teacher directly also if i feel concern , hope it helps.
