Georgia Alternative Testing (GAA)
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son will be going into 3rd grade next year and just want some thoughts on Alternative testing(GAA) in GA. The GA milestone testing would be extremely overwhelming and I know this is another option. Has any one chosen this for their child?

I did for my daughter and it was fine. You can read more about it online and see if this would be better for your child. However, if your child has an IEP they will receive those accommodations during testing. So for my son who has AUT but is high functioning...he got extra breaks and reminders to stay on task. He was able to get through it and scored really really well. He was also tested in a small group vs with the whole class. Hope this helps!
