Hi. What Is Your Input On Using One Aba Therapist For A Month And Then Switching?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question đź’

My son is three with ASD. We just got a diagnosis and now all support (o.t. s.t. and Aba) is falling in place. I'm considering using a facility with ABA therapy for one month then changing providers once school starts in sept. I want to do this to be one month ahead but i have no experience with any therapies to know if this effort is productive. The reason to change is that this provider can start now but cant fit in the early start school program because it is to far way. Thanks for feed… read more

Thanks! We will see how it goes with mine. Looks like a month isnt even enough to get medical, intake and clinic to accept, I got a take a deep and do what I can alone till the sept. Plan in place. Good luck with yours.

“Pairing” (trusting and being comfortable working with each other), has always been a major thing with both of my kids. Some kids can be instructed and thrive well with anyone by that hasn’t been my experience. A bad start can be worse than no start and a month isn’t much time at all unless your child is one of those kids that just sits down and does well with just about anybody. Your blessed if they are, Ive seen SO many therapists work with my kids simply because they just didn’t “click”. Good luck
