It is getting tougher to get benefits and service for your loved one with a disability. You must have DOCUMENTED proof that your loved one was diagnosed with the disability before 18 y/o by a MEDICAL TEAM EVALUATION. The state will not accept IEPs or a school psychologist report

Oh yeah, they’ve been laying the foundation for this for about a decade now. Not trying to get too political but that’s mostly what this is (that’s why us autistim parents MUST get involved in local politics in our states!). Do a search and see the correlation to states doing this to states connected (or not wanting to be connected) to Medicare/ Medicaid expansion. It’s also even harder when your homeschooling your kids because in order to qualify for 18yrs and over “services”...you need to (almost MUST HAVE TOO!), be enrolled with the local high school. That’s not homeschooling, that’s still being under the jurisdiction of a school and it’s usually hardline rules. Some states aren’t that bad, some can be said to be kinda good. But trust me, some are really bad.
