Does anyone have a resource or example of a daily schedule for a 5 year old? Caden is having severe meltdowns- and we’ve been told a schedule will help. We just don’t no where to start. With COVID, there are no therapies and no school; I think he’s very bored.
We just took a weekend routine, found the peak of problem solving play and peak of needing calm, then worked that into a predictable rhythm. We homeschool though!
Our schedule looks like this: wake up-7am, use the potty and get dressed, eat breakfast by 8 am, feed dog and gerbils, water plants/garden, make bed, play outside 10-11:30(depending on whether), 11:30-12 lunch time, 12-2 queit time (either a queit movie or activity while baby sister naps), 2pm workbook activities/puzzles, 3pm clean up, 3:30 tv time, 5-5:30 dinner time, 5:30-6:30 play time, 6:30-7 bathtime, 7:30 use the bathroom/brush teeth, 8pm bedtime
Everyone has been very helpful, and thank you for the hugs!
Thank you so much
