Zoloft is an SSRI so it’s typically prescribed for depression & anxiety. I’ve never heard of it being prescribed for aggression. My son isn’t taking it, but I think there are better options for aggression. There are so many drugs on the market, it’s mind boggling.
G takes it. I haven't seen it help much.
@A MyAutismTeam Member thanks for the response! My daughter is not aggressive all the time. Mainly around the time she gets her menstruals. Dr mentioned that zoloft could potentially help with her menstrual symptoms as well. How do u feel about it? Is it helping with your OCD?
@A MyAutismTeam Member yes i'm aware that its for depression/anxiety. MD informed me that aggression and OCD can be linked to anxiety so thats why she recommended it but i am not seeing any change besides her being even more aggressive.
@A MyAutismTeam Member she has been on it for 2 wks now...so far no changes. I was told that it does take time to kick in. Unfortunatley i have noticed her being more aggressive. Not sure wat to do at this point😩
