I am nutritionist. Use sugar free and dairy free diet for your child and eat organic food. Use probiotics and test for Candida and IBS.

Jordan has food sensitivities and food allergies and sometimes gas. He had gas bad as a toddler and rashes from the foods. We had him go through the 72 hour patch testing and eliminated all the foods he was severely allergic to. He also had an endoscopy done and they found duodenal ulcers, so he has to take Prevacid. Then, we limit the foods he is mildly to mid allergic to. He got drops daily for the gas, but we also gave him digestive enzymes from capsules (Rainbow Light brand) in his coconut milk. I would open up a capsule and pour 1/3 in the milk at each meal. It helped. We also give him Chobani yogurt 3-4 times a week to help him get the right bacteria in his digestive track. This helps keep down the yeast, which can cause terrible gas, terrible behaviors and moodiness. We also give him small capsules of oregano oil once a day and this keeps away the yeast too. Now, he is 12 yrs old and eats a selective diet of his choosing, but eats healthy, and avoids the foods he is severely allergic to.

also, IBS-C can be a factor, and in general is commonly occuring in kids with ASD and food sensitivity
