The definition of homeschool here is a center setup with small number of students. (Homeschool here may have different definition to most other countries, where it means strictly doing studies in own home).

I would appreciate if those who have any experience on Santa Clara school district' s Autism Specific Instruction program especially at Westwood and Laurelwood elementary schools provide their feedback.

Please see this just-released study which details the financial cost to the U.S. of caring for individuals with autism across the lifespan. This is valuable information to share with education and political officials. Very little planning is being done, as we all know.

This is the big question that hovers over all of us.

My daughter will threaten me in a very vague way, for example tell me a story about a girl and what she does to hurt her mother, and make sure I am very clear of who she is referring to
She will do this as a result of something upsetting her at school, or anger about a fair request I make
She might be upset at school and take it out on me in a cruel or threatening way, and hide it from others to avoid discussions about her feelings.

My 5yr old ASD son is potty trained (yay) however we have problems wiping. He's very independent and will not tell me when he goes to the potty. When he does go poo, he uses a whole roll of TP manages to get it everywhere and still doesn't get his behind clean. I don't think it's a sensory issue but not sure how to help him i.e. Hand over hand etc when most of the time he goes without telling me. Suggestions or ideas greatly welcome.

I would like to know what therapys your children have been offered to help them cope, I raised concerns about my son at 22 months he is now 3 and apart from 4 speech lessons has had no other help. thank you

My 5 year old son suspected hogh functioning Autism. We are living in a place where no therapist is avaolable can any one help us in getting a preformed plan

My son will be entering high school next year, I am considering a charter school instead. The high schools here are massive and give him anxiety just stepping onto the grounds. Any advise is most helpful.
