Hi everyone
My son has been going to the same daycare for the past year, and his behavior has been excellent. He’s a sweet boy, no fighting or bitting, no issues at all. He’s been seen by therapists 2-3 per week to work on speech, behavior and occupational therapy. Last month he was diagnosed with autism and we informed the daycare as we were recommended by the specialist. No experience but I just started the journey of trying to find a 3yr old preschool for my son. Many places were more daycare oriented than school at that age. Most places I called refused to accept any kids with special needs because they weren’t equipped to work with them. (Teachers did not have special Ed degrees etc.) Maybe it’s similar with your daycare?

Unfortunately, if it’s a private school they can. All they need to say is that they are not well equipped to provide appropriate care for him. Happened to my son too.
