What Are Good Homeschooling Programs For High Schoolers That Worked For You And Your Child?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am going to be a junior this year and I need to find a new program for school. Because of my autism, math and science are very difficult subjects for me. Are there programs that were not that hard?

I know you don't have a lot of power over what your parents are willing or capable of doing for you, but the more that you can take control of your own education, the better your education is going to be.

There are lots of ways to homeschool, and the cool thing is that you can write a curriculum plan that caters to your child's learning style. For my high schooler, since he learns really well from watching videos, I choose classes that are set up this way. Many Universities have free online classes. They usually have a video lecture to watch, some class activities, maybe a Q&A, and sometimes online tests and quizzes. If the class is a little over the head of my student, I just make accommodations. Since I write his curriculum and his transcripts, I can make adjustments to fit his needs. The problem with cookie cutter curriculums like cyber schools is that they can't make as many accommodations.
