I have a 13-year-old daughter with autism, ADHD, ODD, and PPD. I am looking into sending her to the Boys and Girls Club for the summer. Does anybody have experience with this? She is very sneaky, she keeps trying to get me to let her hang out with her friends without adult supervision and doesn't understand why she can't.
I have an AMAZING 29 year old autistic African American son. We go to many conferences & groups…you’re right…WE seldom see ANY minorities…or females….

I think the camp is a GREAT idea! Maybe you can share your “concerns” with the Director prior to enrolling her.
She is 13 years old. We live near Gardiner, Maine. I got a very late start on options for places she can be this summer. Luckily I work from home, though this is not ideal as it keeps her from socializing, which I'm afraid is going to set her back.
