Sensory items like play-doh are helpful. You can do finger painting and water colors too. Go to the park.
I try to notice what my son likes to do on his iPad during screen time and I try to make it a reality- so if he’s watching a video with water balloons, I get him real ones and we play water balloons together. If he is into cars or trucks, I get some from a thrift store for him to play with. He is really into a cooking and baking game, so we get him to participate with us whenever we were cooking or baking.
We also use highly preferred activities and/or motivators (aka passions or special interests) to get him to transition off the iPad. Some of his were street signs, train set, playing bubbles, etc. What are your daughter’s special interests (other than screentime)?
Read them a book.
Take them to the Zoo or Park.
She also has a sensory beans bin... Beans r everywhere but she enjoys it
My daughter likes drawing with crayons or markers, or ill set out a marble maze i build the base for her and she does the rest this building keeps ash distracted for good hour. Also big legos and magnets blocks. She also enjoys making her own fidget toys now. I buy cheap sand toy buckets and take the handles off and give the handle to ash n she makes into fidget. Stickers shell do that good hour as well. And musical books she enjoys alot. I also let her do water play in bathroom( i set diff size buckets/ cups in there ) and just clean up the mess when she's done lol :)
