Vanessa will scream when I ask her to pick up anything. Or if I ask her a question. I don’t know why. Yesterday she got craft paper all over the floor. I asked her what she’d do if I asked her to pick it up. She screams like she’s anxious or afraid. But she does it while looking at me and smiling like it’s on purpose. Have you tried timers? I use them for everything I need my daughter to do. I even have it in her IEP. It gives them a time of when the expectation is to be done.
You could try turning it into a game? Or just do it as a shared activity. It's good to help each other.
I did. I tell her that I’ll help her with it. I started doing it and ask her to help me do it.
