Our son is non speaking but does FC so he told us when we moved to Vancouver Island from Manitoba, that everything was perfect but he had to work. So he is now doing 4 newspaper routes but all in one day. Because people speak to him and he doesn't answer, we accompany him on all the routes. I'm 76 and there are days when I am finding it tough. I was lucky to work in a space by myself. That worked great but not everyone can.
At garden centre
Sadly the world needs to catch up with AUtism.
It was discovered in the 1960's and really wasn't recognized until the 1990's and we are now 30 years later and still there is so much to be considered for those on the Spectrum.
We re still far off from the 'System' being able to support your request.
But...
There are groups/communities with support popping up everywhere.
Start asking your local grocers if they have Bagging positions available, or if they need people to clean the parking lot and gather grocery carts.
