A Couple Of Things You Shouldn't Do!
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Putting your kid in ABA that includes any kind of punishment system is harmful.
Forcing them to eat foods that are sensory nightmares for them.
Trying to 'cure' them, there is no cure for autism, if someone tells that they have/know a cure they're either a scamer or VERY poorly informed.

If you have any questions ask me in the comments! 🤗

Hello there! I wanted to share that our son has been able to get over some of his food aversion over the years. When younger, he wouldn’t eat bananas, lettuce, tomatoes, pretty much the healthy kind of food. His food choices were very limited. Whenever we were invited to a particular home we had to stop along the way to get his chicken. However, I kept trying, I even made some mistakes along the way, but I’m glad I did not give up. As parents, we worry about our children’s nutrition, we try to do our best in spite of the difficulties and challenges that come along in having a child with autism. Our views on autism may vary according to the level of difficulty we go through in trying to help our kids have a more independent life.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.
