Ages but he's just had a new teacher start and he's worried so marked his wrist and anyway for advise about sleeping

Use your Pillow case over his pillow (Don't wash it).
Lavender is very helpful at calming.
Put some 'Sleep-Mood' Music in his bedroom at barely audible level so he has to strain to hear it, it'll tire out his brain.
