@LeQuolaSales-My granddaughter used to do this. Yes its sensory. We did the sleepers and Onesies and jumpsuits and overalls too and this worked for a long time. However now that she is an adult, she has reversed and has started peeing on herself and during the night. She will go to the toilet to poop but has no idea how to wipe herself so we still have to help her as an adult.

My daughter does this. Not just before bed but all day she will take her pants & pull-up off & play with poop if she has a bowel movement.. she’ll eat it if you don’t catch her in time. She has sensory processing disorder so we know it’s sensory but it’s so hard to help her with most of her symptoms for all her diagnosis because she has PICA severely as well & eats anything. So all the chew toys & sensory items are no good for her she just eats them up😩😩 we came to the decision to just stop buying regular clothes for her & just get sleepers, onesies, jumpsuits, overalls, rompers, & tennis dresses because she doesn’t know how to get them off.(can’t unbutton or unzip & those type of dresses have shorts built in & she can’t take the dress off) I know you have a boy so some of these items don’t work for you but maybe the onesies/sleepers/overalls could at least help him not get naked & play in poop. If he knows how to get out of them can put them on backwards. My daughter is also nonverbal level 3 so I feel your pain! I hope this might help you some. 🙂

Have you given him slime (flarp) to play with or kinetic sand? Have him play with it before bedtime and leave it out next to his bed so he can touch it and use it if he has sensory needs.
