My oldest son has Anxiety and ADHD. While I have zero knowledge of OCD ... what makes sense when dealing with anxiety is to keep them feeling relaxed and safe. In my opinion - anxiety, OCD and ADHD arise when they feel triggered i.e. stress or overly stimulated - they get into a fight or flight mode ... and that may reveal in the form of OCD and anxiety. When they feel more stressed, the OCD or anxiety appears more severe, but when they feel relaxed or safe, you may notice their OCD or anxiety to be less intense or disappear.

I do. Thankfully, my OCD is under control these days. Anxiety comes and goes, but is a LOT better since I've been on medication.
