@A MyAutismTeam Member that's fantastic! I used to work at McDonald's. It was my first job :) I've never been in a management position, though; I just don't feel that I'm management material. I can take orders, but can't give them. I don't feel comfortable in a position of authority because I hate stepping on toes or making anyone upset. I think I'd be overwhelmed with that much responsibility, too. I can handle working three jobs, but don't have much else to really worry about, if that makes sense - I still live at home, so I don't have all the added duties that come along with living on my own. My mom and I work as a team and help each other out. I'm honestly VERY happy with my current situation and I don't have any intent to change it any time soon.

There are large (HP) and smaller neighborhood individual businesses (Vons) who have Human Resources departments that specifically interview Disabled/Autistic/On the Spectrum candidates for jobs. When hired by these HR departments, your child is protected and trained under the Americans With Disabilities Act.

I just want to mention this just in case this is the reason-my son has been receiving vocational rehab services and then all of a sudden it stopped w/no explanation . His rehab is also called VR and I'm wondering if they are cutting back services due to money issues,etc. It's very upsetting because our kids rely on them for help.

VR is vocational Rehabilitation for the person who asked. Autie4 this is also my question to the workplace. I don't understand why she's gone with good reports, was someone lying, just didn't like C or what? VR ier vocational Rehabilitation is trying to find out too. If I hear anything I'll post. This world is unfair to our children.

@A MyAutismTeam Member that doesn't seem fair. If she's getting good reports, why do they let her go? It sounds like she really likes working with children.
