I made my First Confession in 2nd grade, so I would have been 8. I was 9 when I made my First Communion the following year.

Matt was 10 years old when he made his first communion.. During lockdown the church offered Zoom CCD classes but he really needed to be in a real classroom with a live teacher so we waited. When he started his 1st year in CCD he had gotten better at staying put. His attention wavered but he was a bit more mature for the situation. Everything worked out. When we go to mass he mostly wants to know when it’s time to go home.
