The staff, two or more have been taking out their travel expenses on my son's shopping money
Normally staff get wages and are supposed to sort out travel expenses with Manger or Service Manger or Company and not allowed to do that to my son

Members rallied around a parent reporting care home staff misusing their son's shopping money for personal travel expenses, with many agreeing this counts as financial abuse or embezzlement that should be reported right away. Several members suggested contacting the police, requesting bank statements as proof, and reaching out to local safeguarding teams or the Office of the Public Guardian, with one member sharing how reporting similar abuse led to a legal settlement. A recurring theme was balancing accountability with their son's safety, and the parent ultimately decided to keep him in the home while asking management to monitor the finances more closely.

You know that is a good way to look at it because maybe management can step in and take care of the issue for you. And then your son can still stay in a safe place that it sounds like provides him really good care and all other aspects sometimes looking at the problem from a different direction can be the best way, so that’s really great.

I've decided to rethink the whole situation as Son is safest in this place and safest he has been when he has gone out with these staff members but managers going to have to watch money from now on
