Our 5 1/2 yr old son is on the spectrum and he's super bright, loves to do things, but his communication is verbally limited. Usually, his day is school and therapy...so we decided to consciously make an effort for more social play with others. A time where us as parents can utilize the skills we've learn in our child's therapy to promote social play and communication with our kids.

We live in Lewisville ISD in TX. Looking to move to Frisco or Plano ISD if they provide better Autism related programs in schools? our son is in 3rd grade now.

I took my daughter (28) for her work capability assessment and the doctor chose to focus on her diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia totally overlooking her autism diagnosis . I have raised a complaint with dwp as her schizophrenia is under control with her meds and her autism affects her daily life more was I correct ?
My 4 year old son should be starting kindergarten next fall. He is currently in a full-time ABA program. I would like to send him to an elementary school for kindergarten. Can any parents give me any recommendations for public elementary schools in Tampa FL area that have good programs in place for special needs/ autism?
