Any Air Force families have base recommendations?

We just got a diagnosis and will need to PCS to a base that can accommodate my sons needs. Any families have advice on good/bad bases? I know the list of EFMP bases but I want to know who likes what service they're getting from therapists/schools and the base itself. I can't seem to find up-to-date things to read. It all seems to be from 2005-2011 :/ thanks in advance!

Apps for interactive speech learning

Please suggest iPad apps for interactive speech learning, increasing vocabulary.
Also as means of "attention to task" e.g. 12-18 piece puzzles for 3 year old.

There are so many, very difficult to pick and choose. Thanks.

Temple Grandin's book,"The Autistic Brain: Thinking Across the Spectrum", says… read more

School recommendations for 6th grade in Boulder/Denver area.

I am moving to the Denver area this coming summer. I am looking for recommendations on which school districts are good, great (or awful). I have heard great things about the Boulder district, but that area is pretty pricey, even for a moderate budget. However, I am hoping to stick to the north area such as NorthGlenn, Westminster, Broomfield, Highland, etc - which I believe most are the Adams County Five Star district. I have heard mixed reviews… read more

Are parents in Pennsylvania aware that funding cuts are threatening some successful community programs for people with autism?

This article describes successful programs that may not be able to continue if changes are not made in Pennsylvania: I am interested in providing info to DPW and the PA Legislature, so that they realize this should not happen. Many PWA are functioning optimally in the current programs and will be seriously harmed by institutionalization.… read more
