My son is overseas and I can't get a formal diagnosis for a few months, so I'm of course sitting here and fretting behind the computer. Here goes... My son is almost 2. Babbles a ton, knows about 4 words (Yeah, Uh-oh, Star) but can say the whole alphabet. When you hand him a toy, he inspects it while rotating it, drops it, does the same rotation again, drops it, etc.... He also spins while looking out the corner of his eyes. What has worked best for you to teach a non verbal kid with severe autism multiplication tables? For somebody who is unable to respond to cues or demonstrate their learning.

My son is 2.5 years old, and diagnosed as having mild autism. We do ABA, OT and Speech therapy through NJ's Early Intervention, 6 days a week. His meeting is coming up to discuss his transition to public preschool, which will happen in 6 months. We have discussed IEPs, etc. While I am concerned about pretty much everything leading up to him starting at a new school, I am the most anxious about my son's transition. Has anyone had any trouble with Augmentin? My 7 year old son is taking Augmentin for a sinus infection, and he is extremely irritable and hyperactive. I'm curious to see if anyone else has had an issue with this before. He's taken antibiotics in the past, and I've never noticed it to be a nervous system problem. It's usually just a problem with G.I. (causing diarrhea and loss of appetite).

Hi. My toddler (2.8) was just diagnosed with autism and of course I am so overwhelmed with questions. I was told that he needs ABA 15 hours a week. How many hours do they do a session? I'm worried about copays and how often I will need to pay them. Fortunately for us, we have insurance, but I'm wildly concerned about cost of visits
Also, he still qualifies for Early intervention. Is this the same as ABA? Or different? IF so, how different

My autistic daughter is increasingly violent toward her younger brother and is spitting on things and people still. There are different reasons that she is doing these things. There is no one single reason. Any recommendations and/or advice would be appreciated. Medication suggestions are also welcome. Thanks!

I do the whole nine yards when it comes to helping my child reach her best potential . team meetings every three months which the school and a.b.a prividers meet in my home and brainstorm with a communications specialist to help her meet her next set of goals set forth . but it seems that they are both standoffish with there own style PLEASE HELP

My son is 6 will be 7 in a few days. He was diagnosed as being high functioning autistic when he was 3. About a month and a half ago he began having these symptoms, headache, nausea, being tired all the time. We thought he honestly had the flu one doctor even thought menangitis.
