Any adults diagnosed with Aspergers or HFA who struggle with executive functioning deficits? Where do you get help? How do you cope and handle the real life stuff that requires these skills?
Most go to social skills groups to talk to others that have this challenge. There are counselors specializing in executive functioning skills that offer 1-1 counseling or group meetings too.

ABA Academy in Pantego(Arlington) is great! I take my grandson there and am very impressed by the dedication shown by the entire staff.
Looking for a support group for my son and I. We both are newly diagnosed with Aspergers and need to make some friends who understand us and won't judge us by NT standards.

Hello everyone,
I would like to know if anyone had an aid removed from their child's class without their knowledge. What is the basis for them removing the aid from a child with a diagnosis (my son's is PDD-NOS)? My son is in a school in Quebec, Canada and no one even told us that the aid was removed 5 days after school started. I am so shocked that they can do this and not even tell us first, or even after. I can not afford to pay for ABA services for my son. VMRC (regional center) is not giving me any services right now (they do not know if my son qualifies for services from them yet) and told me that ABA therapy usually goes through the school so to ask them. The regional center also told me about CVAP (Central Valley Autism Project) and said to ask the school about it. The school told me that since my son is old enough to be in school that they go through the public school system so if I wanted… read more

what happens after the PAC program? will the child stay in his home school or get bused to a different school?
My husband recently applied for a position in Union, New Jersey. He has previously been offered this position so there is a likeliness he will be offered it again. I am wondering what the best schools/ programs for asd children are. I have three one in preschool, elementary and one in middle school. My two older children get really good services now through school, but my youngest gets almost nothing. None of my kids get ABA service here so we will be looking for that as well.
