Is Anyone In The Fargo/Moorhead Area Trying Decide On Best ABA Provider
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just wondered if anyone happens to be in the Fargo ND/Moorhead MN area? My son has been receiving ABA therapy through company called Solutions and we are having some troubles wondered if anyone has had good experience with a provider in this area that you would recommend? Found out today his CTSS therapist is leaving the company, my son worked very well with him and he has a lot of experience that is why I kept him with this company even though I have to track all assesments and schedule ahead… read more

as a southerner born and bred I resent that stereotypical 'joke' - Georgia school system is decent. Florida teachers even cross the border to work in that district - pay much higher. I live in Florida… read more

Live In An Apartment And Someone Is Complaining, What Do I Do?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a question and might need some guidance. I moved into an apartment almost 2 years ago with my Autistic granddaughter. The managers knew I had a child like her and they were ok with it. I have never had a problem until two weeks ago when someone moved in below me and starting complaining about the bird feeders and I took care of that right away and yesterday she started complaining about the screaming fits and stomping (it does not happen everyday) but with School in and things have… read more

Not Staying Potty Trained
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

For the last year my 4yr old son has gone back and forth with being potty trained. He would
Go two weeks great no problems then out of nowhere start peeing his pants again and stashing them everywhere, toy boxes under the bed in my couch, in the pantry! Where ever he could. We would go back to diapers and then he wanted to be a big kid again so we would get back into the routine of treats or rewards. Nothing is working he wants to use the toilet and has proven he can but he won't. 6 months ago I… read more

Look into the book "the Potty Journey". It finally helped potty trained my 4 yr old. We went through the same thing you did.

Tantrums And Meltdown
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My six year old has at least 3/4 tantrums and meltdown a day. Sometimes it's extreme crying in the middle of the night can't get him to calm down, can't talk to him at all. Any idea.

A MyAutismTeam Member

If the screaming is at night and he doesn't respond to you it could be night terrors. My son used to suffer from them. The doctor had me put him on a daily schedule. Also he was having a terror I… read more

Getting Up At Night While We Are Sleeping And Eating!
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Nathan is getting up in the middle of the night while everyone is sleeping and eating! We have spoke with him about this and seems to understand at that the time we talk to him but he has continuing to do it. We have put his bed in our room but it still hasn't helped because let's face it at some time we do have to fall asleep. He eats a variety of heathy foods all day long. He also gets a few snack foods during the day. He eats an ample amount before he goes to sleep. Even when we are not in… read more

Spelling Apps?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone know of a good app for learning to spell? My daughter can read but when it comes to writing out words she skips some sounds all together. She usually gets the first letter and the last letter but has trouble with vowels in between and sounds like "ch", "sh", "th", etc. It would need to be something good for a 2nd grader, nothing too easy like "cat", "dog", etc. She can memorize words for a spelling test but loses them if she is trying to use them in context.
