My son requires a lot of physical inputs for regulation. I need help from the community to help me landscape the suburbs where we can move into, which have good school districts with proven track record of assistance from the state for the services?
Through my spouse and my use of due process hearings and pro se federal court actions we have brought the Coeur d alene, ID school district into the 21st. Century on educating kids with autism.

I'm currently living in Washington DC and my son is 13 attends K-12 home school program. I'm willing move and looking hard to find a school in Maryland and a summer program for him. I'm just so afraid to send him to a regular public school. Hes very shy loves drawing, but has no friends. I feel awful about that because he has told me he feels alone. It's been a long road for us finding good schools. I just really need some advice on what to do.

We would like to know where can we find a good public school district in Texas for Autism?
I'm south of Houston in Dickinson ISD, it's awesome! (And that's coming from very picky mom)
We are looking into possibly moving to the Houston area, and I am having trouble finding any info on services available through the school system there. Does anyone have any insight or first hand experience? The services available in our current school district are great, and we don't want to commit to moving without knowing we can get the same level of help.
Don't move to Houston ISD, my granddaughter attends Alief ISD, West Side of Houston, much better. Houston ISD just announced major cuts due to budget shortfalls.
