My son has a habit of scripting a lot. From the moment he wakes up, he repeats phrases he saw on TV, repeat some answers we have him, or repeats he what he wants to do for the day. This lasts pretty much all day.

When people see him and ask him a question, he typically ignores as he is so occupied with the scripting.

Anyone experience this with their child and is this just a phase? This is really hindering his ability to learn so Im pretty concerned about this.

Hi Guys we relocated to Idaho and love it. But in about 4 yrs we are thinking about moving to Seattle. What are the best school districts and DDAs services?

Does anyone here get 1:1 clinic based speech therapy for their ASD kid through the school district (either in addition too or in lieu of the one offered in school- group or private).
If so, could you please explain to me how you got the district to pay for this service & how I can have it written into my sons IEP?

We are still trying to make a decision as to whether we should send our son to a private preschool or to the special needs preschool in our district. Has anyone tried any other alternatives for preschool or tried a co-op preschool?
Does anyone have any recommendations of private preschools in the Los Angeles/ Pasadena area that cater to special needs kidos?

An acting Chief of Staff at Larabida Children's Hospital called our house on Monday. He and 2 other doctors we dismissed got together and decided to call the house while I was not there and try and intimidate my daughter into finding another medical facility to go to. Autism speaks puts their donated funds into researching how to eradicate autism. Not something I will ever support. Can anyone tell me if this website is affiliated with them??

Over the last few months my son has developed a new scary habit of making himself bleed at all different times for no reason that I can see. I asked him about it and it had something to do with the colour red and needing to see it. But if he has a torch that is red he's scared of it. I just don't understand and I hate seeing blood over him and I can't hold him 24/7. If you have any ideas please help

If you're thinking of getting one to track your son's or daughter's movements. Don't bother. It doesn't work. You have to charge it by a window. . My sons's lost the signal while charging and never got it back. I had it out with me while I went to work. I sit by a window. No signal. I guess the cell signal is so weak there is no connection. No cell signal and no GPS. I've talked to the owner and will get another SIM card shortly. I'll keep you posted. At this point a waste of money.
