Have you requested a functional behavioral analysis at school to see why he is being aggressive? They should find out why he is doing the behavior before they decide how to handle it.
Physical restraint may work because of the sensory input he gets in the process. Is he on a sensory diet? Does he have an OT? His school should have one. Ask for a consultation...
Woah! That should only be for the parents to use in and instance the child would harm himself or others. If he is that out of control at school I would see why he has the fight or flight response! Whats causing it?
Neurofeedback helps with the mood swings that comes with puberty.
I agree, sounds like it is time for a IEP meeting to talk about behavior plans for when this happens (which can include bringing in a specialist). Btw you can req an new IEP when you want and they have to have a new meeting within 30 days.
Good luck
