are there any cons to using a weighted sensory blanket for sleep time? does it matter if it's used all night or should it only be used to get the child to sleep?

We originally planned to use my daughters weighted blanket through the night but our daughter didn't care for sleeping under it. We use it just before bed and occasionally during the day as she needs it. My daughters OT told us that if you use it all night you should not use it during the day. She told us one or the other because it gives the nervous system too much input.

I have not found any negatives. My son uses one every night, year-round. I am planning on having a smaller one made for use at school for his lap.
