My daughter does this to, but sometimes it is not a hunger issue, it is a frustration or nervous issue. She will eat until she throws up if you do not get a handle on it, and if your child is sensory driven like she is they will like the feeling of throwing up, and keep doing it, trust me it is not fun. Try to get a handle on it, and stop your child before they overdo it.

Yes my son actually doesn't eat much during the day, but binge eats at night when everyone is asleep. My husband and I keep a lot of the food in our room and only leave out healthy snacks for him to get into at night.

Holy cow-YES!!!!! In fact I was priviledged to be able to attend a workshop last night through the local Parks & Rec Dept that addressed that & many other feeding/food issues called,"How Much Food is Enough: Encouraging Healthy Eating Behaviors in Children". The Daytrana patch is geared toward ADHD children and basically has methylphenidate.

I attribute it to the fact that he also never sits. He is in constant motion till he falls asleep. When at school he wears a patch that takes his appetite so it seems to even out.
