Sorry my son is 9 and has Asperger's. He is afraid to be alone. He will go to sleep in his own bed but he still wakes up @ 4 or 5 and crawls into bed with us. I used to take him back to his bed and stay with him a while. That lasted about 6 mos. I finally gave up and just let him sleep with me for a couple of hours a night. If you find a solution let me know.

I read my son to sleep, but He has a problem staying asleep. So we bought him a water bubbles night light at Spencers. He loves bubbles. They calm him when he watches them. So when he wakes up in the middle of the night now, he sees them right next to his bed and instead of screaming he stays calm and puts himself back to bed.
They carry lava lamps and glitter lamps too, both that seamed to calm my son, but be enjoyed the bubbles the most.
They have them in all colors and even Spongebob or Elmo.Good luck. I understand the lack of sleep. Your not alone. Here is a link - http://www.spencersonline.com/

Not sure how the room is set up, but is there a way to attach a toy that lights up or a soothing musical toy to the wall? My 4yr old doesn't always want to go to sleep at bedtime. Instead of arguing, I let him choose a light up toy to take to bed with him. He will watch the lights for a while and eventually fall asleep. If you have an incentive to remain in HIS bed, that might help. Good luck!

I have looked on like and they cost around 100.00 that I have found. I recently went to a craft sale here in my home town and they look easy to make with rice or flax seed. People make those heated neck and shoulder bags. Its the same type of concept.

I Think a weighted blanket might be our next option. Where can I find them for a reasonable price?
