I just had the opportunity to attend a lecture given by Peter Wright of Wrightslaw. The cost was $150 for the all day seminar, and it was well worth it! Everyone received 3 books: Special Education Law, From Emotions to Advocacy, and All About IEPs. Mr. Wright is a very good speaker and added a good amount of humor into what could have been a very boring discussion. @A MyAutismTeam Member - I'm glad you'll be able to attend the seminar. Get ready to write fast when you take notes..lol! There is a short time for Q&A at the end of the day, just in case there are any questions from your IEP meeting.
@A MyAutismTeam Member yes, that is true, but we want to review his IEP sooner (this meeting in March is to review things put in place this week). We may schedule a supplementary meeting for after the seminar though! :)

My husband and I are signed up for that seminar in Min-March! Unfortunately our next IEP meeting is prior to that. We have all three of those books already and are very excited to go to this. I highly recommend the Wrightslaw website and books to anybody who has special ed kids!!! I'm glad you got so much out of the seminar; I can't wait!
