Hi, I have an 20 months old wonderful boy just diagnosed with PDD-NOS and I'm looking for Board Certified ABA therapy services in the Boston area. I'm looking for a team with experience with children this age.
Thanks!
Rocio
I'm in mansfield ma, we used "Early Intervention". I cannot say enough about this program and it's providers. They use a totally comprehensive program tailored to not only your child, but your families needs. They provide services until the child is 3, at which point they will even help you with the transition to school, even go to that first I.E.P. meeting with you. There are classes and groups for the parents too. The providers gave us care, understanding, knowledge, and compassion at a time when we as a family felt lost. If you look up "Early Intervention" under mass.org, you'll be able to find phone numbers, and the center nearest you. Once again I cannot recommend them enough, their every move was made with love.
Early steps (Intervention) is the way to go until the child is 3, all of the therapists we used to have were great, and they really care about what they are doing. Once they get older than that you have to go with what the school system and insurance will provide. Our schol district uses Beacon Services and we have had are ups and downs, but they have helped our daughter move forward, although she is a little beyond what they can do and needs more than they can offer.
Early Intervention is state wide for MA. We have it here in the Berkshires too. GREAT PROGRAM!
