Call your city or county park and rec depts- they should have therapeutic programs that they would offer for this under americans with disabililities acts. We have had success with ours in letting us or an aide shadow and for swimming, they offer 1:1 lessons at a hefty price though with kids with disabilities.

Check at your local Y. We had private lessons that were arranged through the aquatic director. They were very willing to work with us.

most commonly you have to go to the Y but I would contact your states disabilities office, the names are different depending on the state, here it is the department of Developmental Services, and they can point you in the right direction.

I do not want to say bad things about the Y because they are good, but depending on your area they may not have the right people on staff to be able to handle our children because the Y does not require special training.
