Ok, I don't know why or what it is, but sometimes when I listen to a song, just listening to it will make me start crying, and it's not that the song is sad or anything, and it's not always the lyrics to the song that makes me cry either, but it's just the melody of the song that makes me feel like I'm going to cry. My son cries when listening to music sometimes. At times the song actually is sad and I understand why he would cry but other times the song/music isn't sad and he cries anyway. I figured the song just touched him differently than it did me.
my son does that ... even with no words ...just a sad tone ..and he starts crying ..with a sad face ... first time i noticed it was with the cartoon Horton hears a who ...when the bird drops the flower down the hill ....he was crying hard !
I cry when I don't get enough sleep... doesn't matter my eyes just tear up. Cry when I get overwhelmed... When my ds bumps my hand because it brings up the day it got hurt. Even if he doesn't mean too.
Have you looked into Dyspraxia??? There is a guy that grew up with over emotions do to Dyspraxia.
You will notice certain notes before/during an emotional scene, usually some high string notes. Then before something scary you will have a noise that makes you tense up as well. The great musicians understand this emotional connections/feelings that come with the notes. Great question. I do experience the same thing as you from time to time.
