I agree with having more patience. My son was almost 5 before he would use the potty consistently, and he still had accidents up till he was 7. Even today, being almost 9 y.o., he will hold it as long as he can. I believe it is a sensory issue.

You have to have more patience my daughter did the same thing she didn't do it until almost six years of age.

Our son was trained by the age of 6 for urination by putting him on a regular schedule and running the water in the sink. Our issue was with bowel movements. He was not fully trained until he was 10. He would hold it in for 5 or more days and then have accidents! Another mother told me to give him Benefiber clear and I also massage his calves and feet. We haven't had an accident since.

A lot of children have bathroom issues :(
I know some are afraid that they are losing something of themselves. Mine also had a problem with the tooth fairy. Didn't mine the tooth coming out, actually if it was a little loose it would be out very soon... But the idea of the tooth fairy taking a keeping the tooth very scary and upsetting ... Sorry totally got off subject.
