My son was 8 and even though my younger son had received his diagnosis (PDD-NOS) at age 4 I was totally shocked when my oldest was diagnosed.

My son is 8 also, and he was just diagnosed by his school. I am still waiting for his appointment to confirm it.

Hi, my son was diagnosed at 10 1/2 years old with PDD-NOS. 3 years ago they diagnosed him with ADHD-inattentive type. As he got older his differences became more apparent as other kids his age were maturing quickly, he was not. My son is currently recieving ABA therapy for new behaviors such as hyper-ventilating when he's unhappy with something. He's currently on zoloft which seems to take the edge off.
