no sure, my friend has it and as 2 kids with Aspergers.
Hi! Just found your site and wanted to share. My son has Aspergers. He was diagnosed when he was in Kindergarten. I was diagnosed with RA about 5 years ago and fibromyalgia 1 1/2 years ago, although I have been suffering for several years before I was officially diagnosed. He is in high school now and the last two years have been some of the worst years for me. I have had so many painful flare-ups (am flaring now.)
I have read about possible links. I believe I may have fibromyalgia and have recently started tests with my doctor to eliminate other possibilities for why I'm feeling so.... Blah. All the time. Wiped out, sore, etc. And with an eight year old on the spectrum I just feel guilty when I have no energy to take S to the park or do some of the things he wants to do...
Being screened for fibromyalgia right now and also primary caretaker of 7 year old daughter with PDD-NOS. I'm in constant pain. Wonder how others are dealing with this- because somedays, I just want to SCREAM!
When my children were diagnosed they asked if anyone in our family had an autoimmune disorder. I'm not familiar with fibermyalgia to know if it's an autoimmune disease or not. For myself, I was diagnosed with AS after my children were diagnosed on the spectrum.
