I'm sorry that I didn't see this sooner! We love the services we have received through FISD but we also do ABA and OT outside of school also. I've heard great things about Teach Me. Im just not familiar with Texas Star.

Hi. I think my son, who is about to turn 3 is being recommended for the IBIC classroom at united services. I was hoping you could share a little bit more about the classroom and how it was effective for your daughter. I'm nervous about the isolation from typical peers and the long 7 hour day. Any insight about how the program works or how the staff were with the children would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Natalie

We were looking into Plano, but the housing seems expensive, so we were thinking Frisco. I have heard both things about the Frisco school district, good and bad. What is your opinion? We are actually thinking of doing something like Texas Star Academy or the Teach Me place. Microsoft has a program that pays for 90% of ABA therapy after we meet the deductible. She does have an official diagnosis from a neurologist as well as being on an IEP already.

I am sorry that I'm just now seeing this. We moved to this area for the services available here. Plano and Frisco both have good school districts. We are in Frisco because the schools are smaller. There is an Early Childhood School here, but I don't know if you would get full-day services there. There are plenty of ABA therapy facilities here as well as in-home therapy opportunities. If she has a diagnosis, it is likely that your insurance will cover part of the ABA services she receives. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
