It is really a good place, and I can tell you the president an CEO knows every child there by name. I was there for a fathers lunch tow weeks ago and he has only met me twice, and he was walking by and said Hi I hear your daughter Avianna is doing well with her transition, and that he had stopped by to see her the other day to check on her progress.

I could not believe that someone of his stature would know her by name, but that is the kind of place it is.

Very heartwarming to hear that you're not just a number but a person there!

Wow evak77! You give a great testimonial for NECC. It's wonderful that they take so much data. I looked at their website and saw that it's very ABA based with BCBAs in their board of directors.

It depends on the child and how much they need, their goal is to get the child into the day school ASAP. I can tell you they take data on everything the child does from eating to tantrs to health checks, and modify treatment as they need to. I will also say that if you talk to a program where the give you exact times for treatment like saying your child will be there only a year or two do not take your child there because it cannot be foretold. You also have to be able to let them do what they do best and if they say your child needs this or that but you do not agree, you have to try and trust them. If this is not something you are able to do then you are not ready to have your child in residential treatment.

I can tell you they have done wonders for my daughter, and we are not the only ones who have noticed. I would not trust or have her anywhere else. Their staff is highly trained and only the best of the best can work there. I will warn you they do not get into fads or unproven treatments so of the data does not prove something works they will not use it.

Thanks for that info evak77. What is the typical length of stay at the residential treatment facility at NECC?
