We just started therapy yesterday. Hoping it improves body function. This guy was bang on with a lot of things going on with my son. He put ds on sugar control diet as well as Omega 3's and probiotics. Here's hoping for some improvement!!

Members shared their experiences with biomedical and naturopathic approaches for children on the autism spectrum, including Total Body Modification (a muscle-testing technique that aims to reset organ and system function), dietary changes like gluten-free and casein-free diets, and supplements such as omega-3s, probiotics, and cod liver oil. Several members reported improvements in digestion, eye contact, attention, sleep, and mood after implementing these interventions, while recommending resources like Dr. Sears' 'The Autism Book' and Dr. Kenneth Bock's 'Healing the New Childhood Epidemics' as helpful starting points. A recurring theme was the tension between hoping for measurable change through natural therapies and the frustration of limited peer-reviewed research, with many parents emphasizing that they view these approaches as tools worth trying alongside traditional treatments when managing the wide range of symptoms in autism spectrum disorder.

Just buy Dr Sears "The Autism Book" which highlights a lot of biomedical, medical and traditional approaches that might help. I don't know what is total body modification but those steps are with very basic biomed approaches. We saw great improvement from removing milk and from omega 3s as well. But it is important to also understand why which one can do with more extensive medical testing.

I researched Applied Kinesiology and could not find any legitimate medical research to support its effectiveness in treating ASD. I'm okay with preliminary research like many of the biomedical treatments have, but I want to see at least one peer-reviewed study done at a respected university or hospital and published in a respected medical journal. Something to support the notion that it's not just snake oil & quackery.

I read Dr. Kenneth Bock's "Healing the New Childhood Epidemics", "The Autism Book" and basically any book similar at my public library. I immediately started Cod liver oil(for the vit A&D, omega3)and went gluten/casein free. Its been 2 month with cdl, and 1 month gfcf and i have noticed increased eye contact and attention. My daughter is less constipated doesnt grab her belly in pain after eating and sleeping much better. I also put epsom salt(magnesium)in bathe. Its not an overnight cure, but i think biomedical treatments can be beneficial.

My family has a lot of documentation, using Kinesiology support, from 2 clinics, there are doctors that are supportive of that too, it is rare they give kinesiology a nod. however there are some that are willing to wait and see what that has to offer patients with ASD. We all will agree many sources of food are stripped of essential vit/ minerals. some of the things my kids took were needed due to sensory reasons they did not even consume veggies for instance, there for there bodies are stugling all the more. You may wait for ever, to see a specific pilot group of autistic children being studied with specific symptomology ,using only Kinesiology. that would be never, there is no one that will put out the money or time for that it is directed in to the medication area.We have industrial problems that now need medication to fix that too is synthetic. In my opinion both are a useful tool, you can eat all the special berries, or take all the oils you want, but you may still have issues with repairing damage in the brain, that is permanent so, We try what we can to help the immune system of 90% Of autistic kids have severe allergies and autoimmune issues. Kinesiology only tries to shore up the gut and the immunity, for a fighting chance. I am a parent of multi-symptom children, I have found what benifits one will not benefit the other. If my daughter did not have the test done that she had done 4 months ago. she would have been in intense pain with H-palori. We would have never known how low her Vit D was, how much of a yeast over growth was going on or what her system was doing in regard to the toxin levels she experienced, she picked up many kinds of opportunitisc of bacteria due to a septic gas exposure. with the H- Palori, her stomach problems persisted for 6 months to the point she could not concentrate along with bloody noses, and awful itching/ sleep problems, after seeing Dr Gleason an Applied Kinesiologist, and clinician and Dr Born at the Born Clinic in GR Michigan, both agreed a nystatin was needed, antifungal in 5 days her stomach pain was gone. We know ASD has no cure, yet and Kinesiology is a tool just like sensory therapy is a tool, and medication is a tool. I think we have to look at different tool choices with such a range of symptoms in kids with ASD, we find that the consistant issue with ASD is 80 % constipation issues, I have many papers siting the correlation to the immune system the Gut enzymes and the Blood brain barrier, being things that are being looked at closely and what environmental toxins are doing 1 in 50 are diagnosed now with autism that is epidemic. Some aspects of applied Kinesiology are good diet for some elimination of foods that trigger allergies, some foods effect there digestive tract causing constipation, researching what enzymes in plants help build the gut is the goal. Is there a magic pill, NO. when the Genome is changes we attempt to use any and all therapy that will assist the person.

Look up a product called Propolis Tincture and see if you can add that to his protocol, this is an anti fungal and should help control the yeast, We are giving it a go! keep you posted on our progress with that,
