I just finished the Hanen Centre's "Communication Beyond Words" course, & I have learned so much! It has made a world of difference in my son, who was non-verbal when I started the class, & now, 12 weeks later, answers every question that I ask him & consistently finds a way to communicate what he wants!! I know this class normally costs thousands of dollars to enroll in, but our school district in Carson City, NV offers it for free to specific parents, through grant funding. Highly recommended!!

Started the workshop parental training this week and so far so good. I would highly encourage the book if child is very verbal (or borrow from library).

Much like RDI, this program focuses on social communication and theory of mind. That is the core deficit that we want to address - hope this program helps.
