We are moving to Raleigh this month and we are hoping to find a school that would be a good fit for a high functioning autistic 5 yr old boy. Does any one have any thoughts or experiences that might point us in the right direction?

Thanks!
Tracey

Hello I am about to relocate to Raleigh as well. Curious Lucy40, why should one say away from Wake County schools?

Especially interested with ones over near Cary and Apex... they seem to appear nice and love the area!

I had done some research on this recently because I had briefly considered moving to raleigh. The general consensus seemed to be to stay away from wake county. Chapel hill was recommended and supposedly there are some good magnet schools and good elementary schools in durham but it is patchy. Good luck!
