4 Years Old Boy Humping Pillows And Gets Erection. Is This Normal?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have 4 years old under the spectrum. Since he was two years old he is humping pillows whenever the opportunity comes a home. He does not do such thing at daycare, but whenever he comes home from daycare, he eats and then start humping pillow on the bed. I saw he has erection. Is this normal?. Usually he does that for over 30 minutes. I do really need to know if anybody saw something like this in the past.

I’m not having the jumping issue but my 4.5 year old has learned how to give himself an erection. He doesn’t do anything once he gets it. He just looks at it. Not sure how to handle this one.

My son does it too...infact he's been doing it ever since he turned 4 !!! He is 5 now and still does it specially when he's back from school or too stimulated after a trip to the mall..etc. I think its a way to calm their senses. Let him be and yes do not give a negative reaction ...it will get over as soon as he finds an alternative way to pacify himself.

My Son does this too and as a guy i believe it’s more instinct and since they handle things ( like most things they do ) differently that’s just how they deal with a erect pee pee cause it’s definitely not weird for your boys to have erection at young ages .. but i also would like know more about this as well

My now 18 year old used to hump when he was younger. Thankfully, he was able to overcome that due to occupational therapy.

I have been experiencing similar behaviour from my 4 year old.. he has been doing this for sometime .. Good old Google has suggested this may be related to Intestinal discomfort wich I have said he has something not right for years in terms of his number 2s so this could well be the case .. can anyone else link the 2?
