I know of nice senior communities in Maryland and Virginia that allow at least one adult child to leave in. Please google on line as I can't remember the names.

Nice comment. We just met with a doctor with two Ivy League degrees and she had us contact a hospital far away for a simple EKG test that could be done 7 miles from our home. The experts don't seem to value the parent's time or money. People wonder why health care costs are so high.

I have an aunt who moved to South Carolina. Apparently I've been told that they have great programs there for our Adult children.

Hi my son is 23 and I’m supposed to transfer to Sacramento in September. I’m petrified. He gets a day program in Florida, and 70 hours a week of care that I’m paid to care for him. Our wage is $15 an hour. I’m scared he won’t get services or have to wait years from a lot of parents I’ve spoken to. I think we’ll be in NA Sacramento. 😊

Yes. CA is full of services. We moved here from Michigan and have been amazed. We are in Sacramento Area. Don’t know about the rest of the state. But expensive to live here. We would love to retire somewhere else less expensive. That’s at least 10-15 years away but it’s never too soon to explore.
