My insurance covered our son to see a student intern SLP. If you have a college nearby with that major, it might be a more economical way to get more therapy

We paid out of pocket for OT and ST but it wiped out our disposable income within a few months. We got a Medicaid waiver based on the income of our daughter. People paying are either poor enough for regular Medicaid or so well off that an extra $1,000 a month is pocket change.

BTW at 3 years old, I was doing ST at home whenever I would spend time with him (after work and weekends). I would get the the ST book "Takes Two to Talk" which is targeted towards parents. Good luck.
