We had 2 sessions which lasted 1.5-2 hours each. There was A LOT of paperwork for OTs, STs, teachers, and parents to fill out before the psychologist even met our son. It was extremely thorough.

@A MyAutismTeam Member - My response was kind of going off the subject but replying to @A MyAutismTeam Member response.
I have been to several doctors for an evaluations and such and when you have a little one with you a 2 hour visit seems more like 4hours and if you don't come prepared with toys, ipad, snacks, any child will usually get a little cranky. It just would be nice to have an assistant play with your child while the doctor asked you questions and you would be able to see him too. Everyones anxiety would get a little lower.
If I offend you or said something wrong I apologize, I have a mtbi and only 3 years into it and sometimes I just don't have a filter.

You would think these doctors would have a playroom with a one way mirror too keep the little ones busy. I wish sometimes these doctors could switch places with us and keep a child entertained for over two hours.

Daughters neuropsychologist appt took about 2 months to get scheduled, an hour to fill out questionnaires, 2 hour appt, and a couple months to receive diagnosis report. Very time consuming....
