@A MyAutismTeam Member I understand the research you are referring to, but I can tell you from my own experience a DAN Dr changed my son's life in less than 6 months already. Before I found the DAN dr, my son had limited vocabulary, a lot of repetitive speech, scripting, and a lot of tantrums. He is now is really talking, responding to questions, and tantrums are limited. His ot and speech therapist are so impressed with his progress and are saying he is developmentally in line with other people his age. For example: I noticed today that he barely was quiet at all the whole day. He continuously asks for what he wants. Yesterday he got home and asked for peanut butter. It seems weird but it is what he wanted cause he ate it up. I did not mention peanut butter and had not given him peanut butter for weeks. My point is he wanted it and asked. Prior to this maybe milk would be the only thing he would request. It would have to be something he was familiar with and part of the normal routine. I would of never expected something out of the ordinary like peanut butter to be requested. Check out YouTube: Jenny McCarthy helping her son with Autism. The way I happened upon it is I was telling someone if I was a millionaire I could probably do more for my son. Then I got to thinking what would or should I do differently if I were really rich and money were not an issue. Then God led me to the you tube videos about Jenny McCarthy, and I later read her book Louder than words. I highly recommend trying a DAN dr. I understand you being sceptical, but if you YouTube or Google about people helping their children with Autism you will find real people showing you how biomedical treatments helps their children. I have taken my son to every Dr imaginable, every therapy, and ABA is just now starting since insurance didn't cover it before. My point is sometimes listening and getting advice from others who are actually going through it with our own kids is more helpful than all the medical professionsls, journals etc. I agree DAN Dr's are expensive however it will be even more expensive to care for or give therapy to your child forever. If you see the info I mentioned about Jenny McCarthy you will see there is a small window of time to get your child to fully recover. I am putting my faith to action and doing all I can no matter the cost. Plus God is good, and I submitted the claims to my insurance as out of network charges and I was able to get alot of the money I paid back. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I believe that "autism" encompasses many different disorders, some of which (including my son's) have metabolic issues that can be treated by supplementation and dietary changes. If we had not tested my son for biomedical treatment, he could have gone through life with an ammonia level in the 300's. Biomedical treatment for him resulted in resolution of the cause for aggression.
