Thank you all so very much. I will definitely look into a bracelet.

We are going to try the AngelSense tracking device as well.

Next stop, additional locks for doors and windows.

Our doors also are alarmed (more of a kindly ding, such as that you might here entering a shop). And we also placed locks high and chains where it made sense.

I have tried a number of trackers..

PocketFinder - works great outdoors and in areas with fantastic cell coverage. Works horribly indoors where cell coverage is low.

Tile - good indoors and out but distance is limited

I bought an ID bracelet for him with emergency contact info and "Autistic/Non-verbal' on the id. If you want, you can get a $10 discount using this link: http://RoadID.com/invite/4J4P5-TAFG3RQB6V2

We use a tracking system that my daughter wears and it is through our local police department. Her bedroom is located directly across from my bedroom and I put up a motion sensor above my door pointing directly to her doorway. As soon as her door is opened it goes off. It has been working great and we test it nightly and change the batteries once per month. I still check on her at least two times per night just to ease my own mind. Her last leave will be 1 year ago now in August. I still keep thinking of other things to stay ahead of her with the warmer weather coming on as this is when she decided to start leaving at 5 am. I hope that this helps.

It has been great so far. I slip it into his pants pocket and fastened it in.
We haven't been able to use its listening feature because for some reason it was slow to recognize his GPS location on the school bus and then school was over for the year.
Overall, I think it will work out just fine.
