My daughter is 2.5 and has massive bowel movements..she pushes forever..straining for hrs..it's not hard...just big..and she is so tiny...she is a very picky eater and doesn't eat much..I don't even know where it is coming from...anyone else experience this? Should I go to dr?

Went to my dr..she didn't recommend gastroenterology still yet...Madison drinks alot of milk and won't drink anything else..we have to change some diet things first then we will see if that helps. She also said she is probably holding it in..alot of kids do that at this age for some reason. Alot of fiber she said so she can't! Hope this works!

I would go to Gastroenterologist... My 12 yr old has encopresis, which they say comes from hard or large
bowel movements...Alot of kids on the spectrum have gastrointestinal problems...Good Luck
